It has taken tens of thousands of volunteers, more than 5 million nails, over $18 million in donations and 499 very special, hard-working families to pave the way for the construction of the 500th Habitat for Humanity home in Metro Louisville.
In June of 2018, Habitat raised the walls on this historic accomplishment in partnership with Rae'Shonda and her two year old son. The stability and security a Habitat home provides can help families like Rae'Shonda take the first steps on the path out of poverty. These homes have provided shelter for over 2,200 people including 1,600 children. They have built hope and stronger communities.
