Company Team Building
How Will You Make A Difference?
Why Team Building?
Gather your co-workers, roll up your sleeves and spend a rewarding day of service with Habitat! Habitat’s Team Build Program offers organizations the opportunity to improve their communication, strengthen morale and encourage teamwork all while building the strength and stability for a family in need.
Organizations contribute financially in addition to providing the volunteer support. Group sizes can be between 12 – 15 volunteers and we ask for a donation of $2,000. Have a unique group size? Let us know and we’ll work to customize a day of service for you! Your investment is crucial in our mission of serving more families through affordable, stable homeownership.
Complete the Company Team Building Contact Form to learn how your group can be part of transforming our community!
Team Build opportunities, on a construction site, are offered Wednesdays – Saturdays, depending on availability. The workday is from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm and will be led by our Core Construction Crew. We’ll provide the know-how, tools and materials needed for your group’s day of service.
Volunteers help in almost all aspects of building or rehabbing a home. Based on your scheduled build day, volunteers could be:
- Building walls
- Raising the roof
- Installing hardie board siding
- Hanging drywall
- Painting the interior or exterior
- And much more!
Volunteer with Habitat’s community development initiative and support our vision of building stronger, healthier communities in our city’s most underserved neighborhoods. Our “Love Your Neighborhood” events help create successful homeownership and thriving communities by connecting families in need with volunteers to revitalize neighborhoods and repair homes… making them healthier, safer and more sustainable. Projects include exterior home repairs and neighborhood beautification of alley/street clean-ups, community park improvements, flower pot painting and more.
A “Love Your Neighborhood” event is normally held twice a year, on a Saturday. “Love Your Neighborhood” impacts the entire community, leaving a lasting impression on both neighborhood residents and volunteers.
We’re grateful for our Team Build partners.
Together, we’re revitalizing neighborhoods and building a stronger community; all through the power of homeownership.

Team Build event days can be scheduled Wednesdays through Saturdays, depending on availability. Most Team Build events are one-day and last from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Groups volunteering with our landscaping crew will work half days from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

For a day of service, volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, hat, sunscreen and bug spray. Habitat supplies the water and all of the tools and materials needed for the day. If a volunteer wants to bring his or her own tools, please be sure the items are properly labeled.
Lunch is not provided. Volunteers need to bring a lunch to site, unless told otherwise. Lunch breaks onsite are typically 30 minutes.
We ask that volunteers dress for the weather and wear clothes that can get dirty. All volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes.
Since we build year-round, our Core Crew Leaders will work with Habitat staff to determine if it is safe to work in extreme temperatures. We ask that volunteers show up to the work sites, even if it is raining, unless they have heard from Habitat staff stating otherwise. Weather cancellations normally happen on the day of the event and onsite. Volunteers will work in light rain but do not complete exterior work in heavy rain or thunderstorms.
