The Store That Builds Homes.
Here are the precautions that we’re taking at the ReStore:
- At this time, our ReStore drivers will not be entering inside the donor’s home to pick-up the donated items. We ask that all donated items be placed outdoors – either on the donor’s porch or in a garage for easy access for our drivers.
- All unvaccinated individuals must wear a mask while in ReStore.
What’s the ReStore?
The Habitat ReStore is a non-profit thrift store and donation center of gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and more. The proceeds from our two store locations are reinvested into our mission to help local families build stable, affordable housing in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville. This is why we call the Habitat ReStore the store that builds homes!
When you shop at the ReStore, you’re getting a great deal – all merchandise is sold at a fraction of retail prices. And the proceeds are helping us build more Habitat homes!
What Can You Buy and Donate at the ReStore?

There are many factors that go into why more items are not accepted as donations, such as government policies (dishwashers), liability (ladders) and consumer trends (entertainment centers). Accepting donated items that we can easily sell contributes to our mission to support Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville’s vision of a world – and a city – where everyone has a decent place to live.

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to repair or touch-up items. We ask that you donate items that are in good, clean, working condition.
